Foreign Policy Comments

I say, give no aid to any country who does not share our beliefs. or does not stand with us.

I am adamantly opposed to giving ANY more aid to Africa with the exception of AIDS. I work for my tax dollars and do not want them spent on Africans. I want them spent to protect our freedoms in the USA.

If the French had thought like that in 1776, we would not have had out naval flank covered, and the British would have been able to retreat in 1782 rather than have to surrender to Washington.

I saw "somewhere" a comment that read something like this: "NOT one American dollar will go to feed, clothe, house or educate any foreigner until ALL Americans are fed, housed, clothed and educated". Can you tell me where I saw that? It does not specifically state that in our "Foreign" issue description and I believe it needs too. Americans have suffered WAY too much at the expense of their hard earned tax dollars going to foreign countries. It is time we took the "correct" out of "politically correct" and say, "if you want our money, you do this for us". A prime example is our military bases being forced out of the Philippines. There are interesting ideas here, but these positions need to be really....REALLY...heavily developed. Also, these beg the question of how we could change our aid packages without infuriating absolutely everyone in the entire world. And it goes without saying that without the aid packages, we're not going to be as effective a superpower. I really don\'t know about all this. I'd have to see a hell of a lot more than this to believe it's a well thought out, rational plan, and not just jingoistic bullshit.

Finally, it seems that I have found others in this country who feel the same as I do regarding foreign aid, immigration, etc. Give back America to Americans and stop all the money making deals that constantly are behind most of the decisions which are made by Congress.

This is a no brainier, If you are not our friend, you get nothing. All overseas military bases should be closed, unless the governments of that country are going to pay for the base and troops to be there, instead of the United States paying to be there.

What is your party's stand on supporting nations, such as Saudi Arabia and Colombia, while strategically important, that are violators of human rights? I don't believe that we, as a nation that claims to be a defender of rights and freedoms, should be providing aid of any sort to a nation that violates human rights.

The powers that be in Iraq requested and received $2.4 billion dollars in $100 bills. Who are we paying with our money? Those characters lose millions of dollars with no problem at all and don't seem to be in the slightest bit accountable. I figure a good share of it is bribe money, some of which will be obtained by those wanting to purchase weaponry to kill and injure our troops. so why aren't they using scrip? My parents were both Army during WW2 and I'd heard stories about the funny money that was used instead of American currency. I also believe we have donated more than enough to Halliburton for them to either repair Iraq or leave the country and let the Army actually have a bid to see who can do the job.

Put the United Nations on notice, 12 months from time of notification They will take over the Welfare for the strategic countries (in order to avoid imminent threat of international instability), As far as the Allied Nations go, well cut the welfare off & watch how quickly they stab us in the back. Take care of our own country FIRST then help the world as needed ( Through the United Nations )

END FOREIGN AID MENTALITY. YOU DON'T BUY FRIENDS.
