PRESS RELEASE The Veteran’s Party of America (VET) wants respect for "Old Glory".
June 2, 2005- The Veterans Party of America, is outraged that a Mexican Flag was placed above “Old Glory” by the Oregon Employment Department in Medford, Oregon. Not only was this insulting but when the Department removed the Mexican Flag “Old Glory” was removed as well in order not to “Offend.” All Veterans should call the Governor and make your feelings known. The Veterans Party of America wants the Stars and Strips given back its honor and dignity and should be displayed in any location deemed fit, so respect can be bestowed upon it. If you need help on proper Flag etiquette visit http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagetiq.html All Local, State, and Federal Governments should make sure that “Old Glory” is always displayed properly. The only other flags that should be displayed in Government buildings are the State Flag and the POW/MIA Flag. All transactions of Government should be in English only.
