We are not sending up flares as we march, but quietly, steadily marching towards our goals. The growth of the Veterans Party is phenomenal and tells us all, friend and foe alike, that we are coming, We Are Coming, and change is not just in the air, but in every day and every step we take.
How many of us are there? The Veterans Administration states 24.6 Million. However that number only includes those who are registered for care through them. Here are some other figures they do not count.
Military Retirees 2.3 Million Active Duty 2.1 Million (includes USA, USN, USMC, USAF & USCG) Reservists 1.3 Million (including those on call in other countries) National Guard 2.4 Million (all 50 states and territories) No Participation 1.8 Million (those who served but did not get benefits or retire)
When you add this other group of 9.9 million the VA does not include, you get 34.5 million, just above 10% of our nation's population. Therefore the other 90% can live in the freest nation on the planet Earth. And these are only the survivors, has anyone given thought to the Millions who have died for these Freedoms? If you continue to add one spouse for all the above, including the surviving spouse of a deceased Veteran...
Media looking for numbers because they want real facts! Then how come in some cases, facts are never reported? The first official registration of the Veterans Party was on August 25th, 2003, in Florida. Since that date:
Registered States: 15 AZ, FL, GA, IN, ID, IA, KS, ME, MA, MS, NV, TX, UT, WA, WV Forming States: 14 AL, CA, CO, HI, KY, NE, NM, NC, NY, OH, OR, TN, VA, WI Beginning States: 15 AK, AR, CT, DE, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NJ, OK, PA, SC, SD, WY
Party Members: The registration for new political parties in each state differs. Some states file for the party first and then have people join it, (Like Florida). Some states need petitions signed by X number decided by that state, (Like Utah). Some states must put X number of members into the party before being recognized, (Like California, 80,000). There are another 47 variations of these.
How Many?: At this time, no state will tell you how many are listed in the Veterans Party of America, because it is lumped in with all other minor parties. Only major party stats are given and once the Veterans Party becomes a major party, our stats will also be given.
