Rules For State Chairs To Vote Background For How and When You Can Vote In An Organization... If you have served in the US Armed Forces for 4 years and never left the States... You cannot join or even be eligible for membership in the VFW. Therefore you cannot vote or run for office in the VFW.
In order to join the Purple Heart Association, you first had to be awarded one. You cannot vote or run for office or make a motion in any organization, unless, you are a member of it.
You cannot vote in your city, county, state or national elections, if you are not an American Citizen. Once you are an American Citizen, you are then eligible to register to vote. You cannot vote at a democrat or republican party meeting unless you are a card carrying member. These same common sense rules apply to the Veterans Party of America.
Voting Members For all of the interim state chairs, appointed by the Members of the National Executive Committee, you have been bestowed an honor of getting your state organized and registered. Contrary to popular belief, this takes a lot of time and effort. You must follow to the letter, your states requirements of getting the Veterans Party of America registered. We realize that some states require a name on the ballot for a statewide election... Then that is what you must do. Under Article VII of our by-laws, we 'must' read and learn what 'our' state rules are for being registered and what regulations we must follow to maintain the party. All interim state chairs have more than enough to keep them busy getting their state organized and registered. Getting members to fill the state committee seats, helping those 'appointed' interim county chairs to meet their county requirements and become active. Once you state is registered, then you and all those in your state are eligible for membership in the Veterans Party. Just because you helped organize the party in your state, does not mean you are a member. You must meet your state requirements to be able to register to vote. (98% of all states do not allow felons to register to vote) Again, you are 'not' a member of the Veterans Party unless you have a voter registration card that says so!
The reason this is all being brought to light, is for the people out there who believe that once they have been appointed as an interim chair, they have the same rights and power as those who have accomplished meeting all the requirements for membership. This is 'not' true in any state nor in 'any' organization. If these rules are not satisfying to you, by all means change the law, otherwise we are subject to it.
Even as an interim chair of your state, you must provide proof that you are working towards your goal of getting the party registered. You must also provide proof of who you are. Being an interim state chair for one month or even a year, does not give you any rights or privileges and you must provide a list of officers or committee chairs with the same info as you are required to register in your state to vote. Requirements are as follows: Photo ID (State Drivers License which will allow us to verify residency requirements) Voter Registration Card (Felons or illegal aliens will not have this and will not be eligible even for interim positions) Social Security Number (We do background checks for ALL state chairs, as we have a vested interest in you) If you feel this information in too much, then you 'own' state will not accept you as a representative of any political party as they will ask for the same information. If your party state grows you will find that the following groups will also ask the exact same info: Banks to open an account Phone Company to have a registered phone in the party name Post Office to get a PO Box
March 2006 State Chair's Meeting Info The acting State Chair of Oregon has officially stated that by not allowing unofficial-members of the party the opportunity to vote, we are in contradiction to the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
All of those who have signed off on Mr. Decker's email saying they agree are just as ignorant as Mr. Decker. Think about it... Can you go down to your city council meeting and tell them that you brought 5 friends with you and your 6 votes should count as much as their 5. In this scenario you can sit in the audience and vote against everything you don't like and for everything you like... Always outvoting the city council. You're dreaming, and so is Mr. Decker. Since Mr. Decker and Mr. Thompson have decided from day one that the National Chair of this party is guilty of everything Mr. Richards said in his emails... Should the Chair have ANY rights or say in this matter? Of course not. How can he be innocent when the email already said he was guilty. Thus far, the three state agencies which "must" follow up on all complaints they receive, have thought otherwise. But that should not stop those speaking and writing lies, why should the facts or the truth stop them from their statements? If there are any funds missing from the Florida Treasury or bank account, please be advised that Bob Thompson was the treasurer for Florida during 2005 and he "controlled" all funds. Not even the past State Chair, Dennis Bradley or the Vice Chair, Charles Donovan had any access to the funds and records... Just Mr. Thompson. Mr. Thompson, where is all that money that Richards was talking about?
